The last months have been quite challenging for a lot of us and so different to most of us. It also took me quite a while to get adjusted to the „new normal“. On the one hand, I somehow though enjoyed staying at home without feeling the pressure of having an active lifestyle. For once not rushing from one meeting to the other, for once not being stuck in the rush-hour every evening or for once not waiting in long lines at the grocery store. I have to say that I really did enjoy slowing down my life. I don’t know how it is with you, but I usually find it very challenging to slow down and to tell my inner-self to rest. I always feel the pressure of doing something productive. But who told us that we cannot just sit there once in a while, just sit there and relax, do nothing or probably just drinking a great cup of tea in my case and just feeling totally fine about it? I believe we have forgotten how this works, at least I had. We feel so rushed in our everyday lives that we forgot that we do need some quiet moments once in a while and just some „me-time“. A good cup of tea has been my greatest companion during all these weeks and if you cannot just sit there and do „nothing“, make yourself some wonderful tea and enjoy the taste, the smell and the warmth it gives to your body – this is what you can give to yourself and it will be very well appreciated.
